This piece was created my final year of collage. The project was to create a prosthetic limb. This limb was to fit and replace a body part if I were to lose that body part exactly 1 foot from the end of the limb.
This project needed to be of my own design with no blueprints of other types of prosthetic limbs.
Materials were not decided on during the project.
I decided to choose a leg for the project. Originally I was going to go with a design with no moving parts. Since this project was designed to be mine however I decided to change this. I went with a design that allowed me to change the foot piece easily. This is because of my varied interests and I enjoy swimming just as much as I enjoy walking.
I rendered the piece in solid works and created full working drawings for how to build each piece.
